Microsoft Outlook Express email settings of Visual.Net email address accounts

If you are having trouble sending or receiving e-mail, you will need to update your email settings as outlined below:
  1. Open up Outlook Express
  2. On the Menu bar click on Tools
  3. From the dropdown menu choose Accounts A new window will open titled 'Internet Accounts'
  4. Select the Mail tab
  5. Under 'Account' highlight your vreb.bc.ca account
  6. Click on Properties on the right
    A new window will open
  7. Select the Servers tab
  8. Ensure Incoming POP 3 is visual.net
  9. Ensure Outgoing mail (SMTP) is visual.net
  10. On the Advanced tab, ensure the Outgoing (SMTP) is 587 and not 25
  11. Click Apply
  12. Click Ok
  13. Click Close
  14. Check your mail as usual.
